Copyright
I retain full copyright on all artwork that I produce, including mock-ups and prints. I reserve the right to display commissioned portraits on my website and social media pages. Clients who do not wish their commissioned portrait to be shown online must notify me before work commences. The client does not have the right to sell copies of the commissioned work without permission from the artist.
Reference photo
The client warrants that they have the right, or have obtained permission to use the reference pictures provided. I reserve the right to use reference photos provided in my marketing (e.g. comparison between reference photo and final artwork).
Quotes
Each commission is different so prices are only a guide. Once we have agreed your specific requirements, I will provide you a final accurate quote, which will be valid for 30 days. Any subsequent alterations my require an update to the quote. I will endeavour to inform you if any changes specified will have an effect on the original quote provided.
Timescales
I will provide an estimated start and delivery date, but these are estimates and not a guarantee. While I strive to meet any agreed deadlines, factors outside of my control (e.g. postal service issues) may mean that is not be possible. I will do my best to keep you updated with any changes to the estimated delivery date.
Payment
A non-refundable 25% deposit is required prior to commencing a commission. You will be provided a digital proof via email upon completion, and once you are happy with the finished artwork and have paid the outstanding amount , including postage and packaging, your commission will be posted to the address provided.
Cancellations
You are under no obligation to pay the full amount until you are happy with the finished result. Should you want to cancel your commission before the final payment is made, you are free to do so at any time and will not need to pay any outstanding amount. I will, however, retain the deposit ,and any other amounts already paid.
If you haven’t paid 30 days after notification of completion, and I have not heard from you, I will assume the commission has been cancelled.
Shipping
All orders are securely packaged, and posted fully insured with a tracking number to the address provided. If the item is a gift, I can send it direct to the recipient if you prefer - please provide the recipient's address when placing your order.
Shipping damage
In the unlikely event that the commissioned piece is damaged in transit please contact me immediately so I may assist. Pieces damaged in transit will be fully reimbursed provided I am able to provide proof of the damage to the postal carrier in question. Your assistance in this regard will be required usually by way of providing photographic evidence of the damage, and some carriers may even request they collect the damaged item.
Data protection
I will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties.
Customs and import taxes
Customers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply to their country.
